MIDLOTHIAN, Va. -- Woodlake UMC holds charters for a Venture Crew, a Boy Scout troop, and two Cub Scout packs. Several Girl Scout troops also meet in the church. All of the groups were involved in four services on Scout Sunday. The service included a video on scouting and presentations on the history of scouting in America and Midlothian.

Charters were presented to the Rev. Pete Moon, pastor of Woodlake, and Michael Shirley, teaching pastor.

A Torch Award was presented to Kathy McKee, the mother of three Eagle Scouts and a Gold Award Girl Scout. She has led a Cub Scout pack, a Girl Scout troop, a Venture crew and an Explorer post.
