GILFORD, N.H. -- Nine-year-old Riley Alward hosted a spaghetti supper at First UMC to benefit the relief work in Haiti.
Riley decided to raise funds after watching television where he saw a Haitian boy who had nothing to eat. “I just wanted to do something because I thought no one should live without food, water or clothes,” said Riley.
Riley’s brother, Braeden, recruited his Boy Scout troop to help, and their mother agreed to cook. With support from the congregation, Riley's raised $1,150.
