ARLINGTON, Wash.--Arlington United Church’s Men’s group distributed 200 Strength for Service to God and Community daily devotional books to first responders involved with the Oso, Wash., mudslide.

The men were involved in recovering victims of a March 22 landslide that broke off a steep hill, roared across the North Fork of the Stillaguamish River and buried a community at Oso, about 55 miles north of Seattle.

Books were delivered to first responders in the communities of Oso, Darrington, and Arlington.

At the peak of the rescue mission there were over 800 first responders and National Guard units from throughout the USA involved in this operation.

Following the retrieval of bodies, a team of medical examiners, detectives, and dentists identified 41 victims.
